As the processing of text is one of the most common tasks performed by the user it is also one of the most common sources of problems. This article outlines my method for diagnosing and fixing problems in Microsoft Word running on the Macintosh. It also shows their main method for testing the most problems for application support.

If this fails then you have a serious problem with the operating system and should seriously consider re-install.
